Happy New Year - a holiday recap

Wow! It's already January 2nd and I'm just now coming up for air from celebrating this holiday season.  As I stored away the last plastic bin of Christmas decorations this morning I realized I have not shared any holiday pics on the blog!  So here is a much belated recap of our Christmas fun.  Apologies for the photo overload!

These were the pictures we used in this year's holiday card.  We try to make our friends and family chuckle when they receive our card.

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner with Papa Jim and Grammy Janis at my favorite hotel down the street - The Langham Huntington.  They had the most amazing decorated Christmas trees all over the hotel.

After Santa visited our house.  Presents galore!

And last but not least, our table set for a feast!  After a long but successful trip to the Los Angeles Fashion District, I found this perfect Christmas plaid and made a DIY runner for our very loooonnnng table.

The morning before Christmas Eve, I ventured to the Los Angeles Flower Market for the pines that made our table centerpiece.  I added a few traditional candy canes for a little pop of red and some pines cones to continue the rustic vibe.

The Lenox Holiday Dinnerware was courtesy of my mother in-law.  She and my niece also made the adorable sparkle presents on each plate.  There was a little mint chocolate inside of each - she's always doing fun little projects like that with her grandkids.  So sweet.
