I dig the thickness of the shelves. Anything thinner would have looked puny and disproportionate on the wall.
Styling shelves is definitely not one of my strong suits - I tend to over clutter. So I tried my best to show restraint and shopped the house for a few things to dress up the shelves. Love these cream and sugar cuties. They were a TJ Maxx purchase about a month ago.
This frame was on clearance at Target a while back. And that adorable Love the Journey print is a freebie at The 36th Avenue.
Of course, my collection of Ina (I worship everything about her) and my Jonathan Adler apple bookends.
I cut a few sprigs from our Olive Tree out front for some height and texture.
I'm thinking the cabinet needs a face lift now. Perhaps a coat of neutral chalk paint and some updated knobs. What do you think?

ReplyDeleteGorgeous!!! Luv the large wicker plate!!! Chrsitine from Little Brags
ReplyDeleteI love the menu planner chalkboard. Where did you find it? or did you make it?
ReplyDeleteCute corner! I'd leave the chalk paint in the chalk paint can myself, this looks more sophisticated. Where did you get that adorable little painting of the house with the American flag flying out front? So great!
ReplyDeleteHow did you hang the shelves? In studs, hardware type, special tools needed?
ReplyDeleteLove these, so very pretty! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove the shelves. How are the brackets attached to the wall?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great corbel idea! I'm using this as inspiration to make thicker ones for my fireplace redo by cutting three out of a 2x6 board and stacking then together! Easy peasy. And you're so right...that little cupboard would look fantastic with some chalk paint! You have great taste :)
