July 4th Recap

This summer is just whipping by!  Every year our neighborhood hosts a parade the morning of July 4th where all the kids show off their tricked out bikes and scooters and wagons decorated with patriotic tinsel and flags.  Thanks to Papa and Grammy,  Ben & Ty rocked their Power Wheels.  Nothing says America like a good ol' John Deere Gator from Walmart!  The parade concludes in a nearby park where the party continues with food trucks, music and even a petting zoo. We kicked off the celebration by hosting a super casual porch brunch for some family and close friends.  The kids decorated their bikes in the front yard while the grown-ups sipped on some Bloody Mary's and Champagne Mimosas.  I was able to score just about all the decorations for the porch and bikes at the Dollar Store!

Love this free Patriotic printable I found on Pinterest by My Fabuless Life.

Everyone pitched in and brought something to snack on.  I also baked up some of the Barefoot Contessa's blueberry muffins and a Make-Ahead Egg Bake with spinach and gruyere cheese.   YUM!
