One Room Challenge: Week 6 Reveal!

Just moments ago I literally just finished the Playroom Office makeover for the One Room Challenge hosted by Calling it Home.  To see a recap of how the room has transformed over the past 6 weeks check out these posts:

Week 1: The Plan
Week 2: Play table and chairs
Week 3: Closet Re-Org
Week 4: Reading Nook Progress

It's been a whirlwind of cleaning, donating, painting, building, more painting, organizing, sewing, more painting and more sewing.  Even though I did not complete everything on my list I am so proud with how far along this room has come from it's previous state of chaos and utter grossness.  If you don't believe me you can check out the before pictures here.

You're probably like, "Enough yapping' and get on with it!".  Since pictures are what you love, pictures are what you'll get.  Without further ado… the Playroom Office Makeover reveal!

Hope you enjoyed the tour!  Be on the lookout for some more updates that I wasn't able to complete within the 6 week challenge.

Thank you to Linda at Calling it Home for hosting the #OneRoomChallenge and inspiring me to get my act in gear to transform this room into a functional playroom office combo!

I'm sharing this post with these fun parties this week:

  1. What a great space for both you and your boys. I love the built-in bench. The cars looks really nice all organized by colour. I don't suppose there's much chance the boys will keep them that way?

    1. They are surprisingly good at putting their cars away. Granted they don't always out them in the color coordinated order I prefer but I'll take what I can get ;)

    1. Hi Mary-Catherine! I designed it and my husband made it. :) We used natural birch wood and painted it white.

    2. Thanks! Where did you get the wood? I really love the simplicity of it.

    3. At a quality lumbar store that we have in town. But you could probably get it at a big box store as well. Just make sure the pieces of wood are not warped.

  15. The growth chart is SO cute. Is it a DIY or a purchased item? I'd love to have one for my two daughters.
